Galatians 6:2-5 says, "Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. If anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself. Each one should test his own actions. Then he can take pride in himself without comparing himself to somebody else, for each one should carry his own load."

Here we are instructed to carry our "own load." However, there are times in most of our lives that we find ourselves stuck somewhere in this process. It is during these times that others in the body of Christ are instructed to reach out and help us carry our load. This allows us to transition back to the point of carrying our own load. This is the essence of what we strive for in the Counseling Ministries of First Assembly.

Counseling for individuals, couples, and families who are a part of our congregation is available without charge. We take a progressive approach which is designed to promote growth and maturity as well as help in coping with the challenges of life.

We also offer a pre-marital program staffed with seasoned couples who mentor pre-marital and newlywed couples from both our congregation and community. This program is offered twice per year in both the spring and fall.
