The Deacons shall act in an advisory capacity, with the Senior Pastor, in all matters pertaining to the assembly in its spiritual life and in the ministry of its ordinances. They shall provide counsel and mutual assistance in the administration of the business and work of the assembly.

The Deacons shall be men of mature Christian experience and knowledge whose lives and conduct, following conversion to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, conform to Scriptural standards (Acts 6:3; 1 Timothy 3:8-13). They shall be voting members of the assembly and shall have served on the Advisory Council or in a comparable advisory capacity so as to have gained a sufficient knowledge of the internal workings of the Church Board for two one-year terms. They shall faithfully support the assembly with tithes and offerings, have a cooperative spirit and regularly attend the regular services of the assembly. They shall not hold ministerial credentials.

The Church Board shall consist of six or more Deacons elected by the membership. Candidates for the Church Board shall be selected by the Church Board, and two or more persons for each vacancy shall be presented as nominations to the membership at the annual business meeting.
